Menghermann Wedding
There is a saying in the industry: designers are their own worst clients. Luckily, I found myself pretty easy to work for.
Our wedding invitation was a 14" x 24" two-color silkscreened poster, hand-printed in an edition of 125. I hand-punched each poster with a perforation wheel so that the lucky recipients could tear off the invitation portion of the poster and preserve the remainder as a keepsake.
The path that my husband and I walk through the maze in our journey towards each other is the Chinese double happiness character, a traditional symbol used at Chinese weddings. This design was featured on a number of well-known design and wedding blogs, and is quite popular on Flickr.
Our save-the-dates were designed in the style of tear-off Chinese wall calendars. They were silkscreen printed by hand on chipboard.
